Hi, my name is Bill Plam and I'm the founder and president of the company. I started riding motorcycles as a young boy and bikes have always been an important part of my life. My professional background includes extensive training and work experience in Germany with Mercedes-Benz. I started out as a car mechanic and found myself increasingly intrigued by motorcycles and especially BMWs. This eventually led to me becoming a BMW motorcycle dealer in 1985.

In recent years, the scope of our business has changed in many ways. In 1996 we became a Triumph dealer. In 1999 we moved into a brand new facility, our third location since 1985. In 2000 we opened up Yamaha of Santa Cruz County right next door to our BMW facility. The expansion has brought with it many challenges but also a great deal of excitement. I really love every aspect of the motorcycle business. The possibilities that today's technology present is something that I find fascinating. I especially enjoy working together with the great staff here at BMW and Yamaha of Santa Cruz County and all of our wonderful customers. Being around all of these great motorcycles every day is indescribable. I love to ride and I do, every chance I get. There are so many great places to ride that it's hard to pick a favorite, but some of my best riding experiences have been in Baja, Mexico. It's just hard to beat those long empty roads with virtually no law enforcement.

On the street, I ride an R 1100 S. Having ridden boxers since I was a kid, the "S" performs amazingly well for me and it retains the classic feel of a BMW that I have grown to love so much. In the dirt, I ride a Yamaha WR426F. I enjoy riding off road with my wife Marion, who has a WR250F and my five-year old son Hans, who currently rides a PW50. Riding motorcycles is a great way for a family to spend time together. We are very fortunate to live in such a motorcycle paradise! Whatever kind of riding imaginable is close by.
