YSC and TeamKKR Produce Strong Results
Yamaha of Santa Cruz County is proud to support TeamKKR, a non profit organization established to help parents of amateur racers by creating a network of other racing families and offering financial subsidies for cost of their race effort from local businesses like ours. Jim Chamberlain helps keep the racers focused by defining a set of rules for personal conduct that must be adhered to to participate in the program. We congratulate Jim and all the racers on their recent successes.
Jim Chamberlain:
"Once again, TeamKKR riders exhibited consistent results at another Amateur National Motocross Event, and placed over 60% of entered classes in the top ten! TeamKKR's consistent team results are attracting lots of attention from industry vendors, competitors and event promoters who run these nationally sanctioned races.
Eight TeamKKR riders competed in 20 classifications at the Dodge Amateur Nationals. 6 podiums and 7 top ten overalls resulted from their efforts, including an Overall National Championship in the 450 Modified Beginner class.
Riders were mounted on 250 and 450cc four stroke bikes from Honda and Yamaha, and 85cc riders were aboard Suzuki RM85 two strokes. These young athletes raced two qualifier heat races to qualify for the mains where they competed against the best riders in their class from across the nation to be crowned the overall champion. Over 1500 rider entries were present this year.
TeamKKR Inc. would really like to thank all of our sponsors for their support, contributions and mostly for believing in us and what we do. We certainly could not have achieved these results without your help and commitment.
Looking back at 2007, having produced top ten results at Ponca City, Loretta's and now the Dodge Amateur Nationals, we do so with much pride and admiration for the kids and their families who worked so hard. We will strive to continue and improve our successes, raising the bar that defines TeamKKR as the premier Amateur Support Program in the nation.
After completing this last major national championship event of the year, we will be completing a "Year in Review" which we hope you will enjoy. We hope it gives you a personal sense of our endeavors, and how your support made those a reality, not just a dream.
